Ramadan is a Month Full of Blessings and Forgiveness

Suaraanaknegerinews.com – Ramadan is a month full of blessings, where Allah SWT opens the door of mercy, forgiveness, and rewards are multiplied. This is a time that Muslims have been waiting for because of the great opportunity to get closer to Allah by worshiping more solemnly.

Evidence. From Abu Hurairah RA, the Prophet SAW said: “When the beginning of the night of Ramadan comes, the demons and the very evil jinn are shackled, the gates of hell are closed and not a single door is opened, while the doors of heaven are opened not a single door is closed. And a caller exclaimed: ‘Come here, O you who want goodness. O you who desire ugliness, bear up.’ (This hadith was narrated by Imam At-Tirmidhi, Imam Ibn Majah, and Imam Ahmad, from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him)

Events That Occurred. An important event that occurred in the month of Ramadan was the battle of Badr in the second year of Hijri, where the Muslims who were few in number managed to defeat the Quraysh. This victory is proof of God’s help to His obedient servants and struggle in His path.

The Month of the Revelations of the Qur’an

Ramadan has a virtue because in it the Qur’an was first revealed as a guide for mankind and became an explanation for these instructions and as a differentiator between the right and the wrong.

Evidence. Allah SWT said:

“The month of Ramadan is the month in which the Qur’an is revealed, as a guide for people and explanations of those instructions and the distinction (between the true and the false). Therefore, whoever among you is in that month, then fast. And whoever is sick or on the way (he does not fast), then he is obliged to change it as many days as he has left on the other days. God wills ease for you, and does not want difficulty for you. Satisfy them and glorify God for the guidance he has given you, that you may be grateful.” (QS. Al-Baqarah: 185)

Events That Occurred. On the night of Lailatul Qadar, which also occurs in the month of Ramadan, the Qur’an was revealed for the first time from Lauhul Mahfuzh to the heavens of the world. The night has great virtue because the value of worship in it is better than a thousand moons.

The Infinite Rewards of Fasting

Ramadan fasting has great virtues because Allah SWT is direct who will give unlimited rewards to those who fast sincerely.

Dalil. From Abu Hurairah RA, the Prophet SAW said: “Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla said: Every good deed of the son of Adam is multiplied ten to seven hundred times, except for fasting, because indeed fasting is for Me and I will repay it. Fasting is a shield. On the day when one of you fasts, do not speak dirty or quarrel. If someone reproaches or attacks him, let him say, ‘Indeed, I am fasting.’ For the sake of the Substance of which Muhammad’s soul is in His hands, the breath of the fasting person is more fragrant in the sight of Allah than the smell of kesturi oil. The one who fasts has two joys: the joy when he breaks the fast, and the joy when he meets his Rabb because of his fast.” (HR. Sahih Al-Bukhari and HR. Sahih Muslim)

Events That Occurred. During the time of the Prophet SAW, the month of Ramadan was a time when Muslims increased their good deeds, increased almsgiving, read the Qur’an, and deepened religious knowledge. In fact, after the victory in the Badr war, they still carried out fasting as a form of obedience and gratitude to Allah SWT.

The gates of heaven are opened, the gates of hell are closed.

The month of Ramadan is an opportunity for every Muslim to improve himself, because Allah SWT gives a lot of convenience in worship, by opening the gates of heaven and closing the gates of hell, as well as shackling the demons who usually tempt humans.

Dalil.

In the month of Ramadan, Muslims around the world feel the blessings of Allah SWT through the ease of worship. The Prophet SAW and his companions are also increasingly active in worship this month, both by increasing night prayers, reading the Qur’an, and giving alms.

Night of Lailatul Qadar

The night of Lailatul Qadar is a night that is better than a thousand moons. Worship carried out on that night will get an extraordinarily large reward.

Dalil. Allah SWT said:

“Indeed, We have sent down (the Qur’an) on the night of glory. And do you know what the night of glory is? The night of glory is better than a thousand moons.” (QS. Al-Qadr: 1-3)

Events That Occurred. Lailatul Qadar is a night that is believed to occur on the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan, where Allah SWT revealed the Qur’an for the first time. On that night, the angels descend to earth, and whoever worships on that night will receive infinite blessings.

By understanding the virtues of welcoming the month of Ramadan and the events that occurred during that time, we are more motivated to increase worship and good deeds during this blessed month. (Arsiya Oganara)
