Shades of Love
Yusuf Achmad
Whether one or a thousand,
Pierced by a nail, it feels sorrowful,
Touched by a nail, it becomes rigid,
Elbowed by an elbow, it says “ouch,”
Cornered by shame, it says “you,”
Enchanted, it says “yes.”
Blue is not purple,
Emotion is not cheer,
Roar is not thunderous,
Doubt is not silent,
Desire keeps pursuing,
Jealousy blooms complaints.
The ocean is not new,
The expanse does not imitate,
The space rumbles,
The sky sometimes serene,
The area mixes scents,
The sky hangs above, then moves on.
This feeling is velvet,
This longing is broth,
This emotion is dice,
This sensation is time,
This desire waits,
This affection is me,
This love is you.
Like the sea holding a thousand mysteries,
The sky is deep, untouched, eternal,
Like the sky embracing the horizon,
Feelings are vast, boundless, enchanting,
Like a piece of velvet in the night,
Softly touching, bringing peace.
In every shadow,
There is an implied story,
In every note,
There is longing that seeps,
This feeling is the color of my heart,
This turmoil is a reflection of longing,
This feeling is a unity of time,
My love is you.
