There are works born not merely from the movement of a pen, but from the summons of destiny itself. L-Beaumanity (Love, Beauty, and Humanity) by Leni Marlina is one such creation. As both poet and academic, Leni Marlina rekindles an enduring dialogue—stretching from Aristotle to Wordsworth, from Jakobson to Chairil Anwar and Wiji Thukul. Yet she does not merely cite these voices; she rekindles their embers within the body of her own poems. Here, poetry becomes a lantern in the darkness of silence, a bridge between self and world, between the visible and the hidden.
The presence of L-Beaumanity is also a concrete testament to sponsor support in the realm of literacy. The book is currently in the process of securing its ISBN—registration has been completed, though official confirmation is still pending. For this reason, mass printing cannot yet commence, and shipment to the Santa Lusia Foundation in Biak, Papua awaits final authorization.
