Manokwari, September 20, 2025 — The Faculty of Law at Universitas Caritas Indonesia (UNCRI), Manokwari, once again demonstrated its commitment to academic excellence with the successful hosting of undergraduate thesis defenses and a series of scientific seminars on Saturday. The proceedings, which ranged from title presentations to final thesis defenses, unfolded with rigor and enthusiasm.

Three undergraduate candidates defended their theses before a panel of seasoned examiners and were declared to have passed with distinction. The board of examiners included: (1) Prof. Dr. Roberth Kurniawan Ruslak Hammar, S.H., M.Hum., M.M., CLA. (2) Dr. Hendrikus Renjaan, S.H., L.L.M. (3) Dr. Carina Budi Siswani, S.H., M.H. (4) Dr. Agustinus Luturmas, S.H., M.H. (5) Dr. Yusty Voxdey Rahawarin, S.H., M.H.
Throughout the session, the students showcased a solid command of legal theory, analytical sharpness, and confidence in defending their arguments. The examiners praised their performance, noting a steady rise in the academic quality of UNCRI’s law graduates.
The day’s agenda also featured a range of academic seminars, including one title seminar, three proposal defenses, and six research result presentations. Among the most notable participants was Dr. Niluh Gede Susantie, a Malaysian-trained doctorate holder who is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in law at UNCRI. Despite already holding a Ph.D., she actively engaged in the seminar by presenting her research results — a rare and inspiring example of lifelong dedication to learning.
Niluh’s presence not only energized the event but also delivered a powerful message: education is not merely a pursuit of titles, but a journey of persistence, discipline, and completion — regardless of age or previous academic standing.
This event reaffirmed UNCRI’s identity as an inclusive academic institution, committed to nurturing not only future legal professionals but also lifelong learners determined to see their educational aspirations through to the end.
