Waiting, yet substantial
Blocked by cost and question
Even when cheap, still met with caution
Sometimes present, sometimes gone
Neither evil nor fog
It exists in the beat
Neither smoke nor shadow
Sometimes it yawns, appears without swaying
Not sustenance that satisfies hunger and fullness
It remains uncertain
Boundless hope and longing cross borders in waiting
Waiting until promises are fulfilled
To await the holy promise for certain
Throat at the brink of age, unable to focus
