(A Poem for the Writers of Media Suara Anak Negeri – SAN)

Poem by Leni Marlina

Welcome,
heralds of the ages,
journalists, scribes,
writers, poets,
story-weavers, artists,
authors, keepers of culture,
dreamers, seekers—
welcome, with unyielding creativity,
to Suara Anak Negeri,
like drops of dew,
joining to form a river
that breathes life with every passing moment.

Welcome,
heralds of the ages,
our works, ripples in time’s vast ocean,
not born of pride,
but crafted to awaken the forgotten.
With ink as soft as morning mist,
we soothe wounds unseen.
Through imagination’s boundless flight,
we ignite endless hope.
With courage,
we rise from the ashes of broken souls.

We seek no crowns of glory,
only whispers of love upon the wind.
Come, let us embrace the earth in humility,
a river of wisdom flowing free,
spreading love to all corners of this land.

Let us tend this humble home together,
nurturing its flame—simple yet profound.
This is the breath we guard,
for a world aching for touch,
for the voices of justice to rise
for those the world forgets.
