Blue
yusuf achmad
I’m blue without you,
Yet I know, blue without yellow blending into green—
It must fall into disarray.
I’m blue with you far away.
When distance loses meaning without time,
The irony becomes strangely amusing.
I’m blue when reckoning all seems done,
Without loyalty, without purpose—
Work loses its soul.
But not always, not entirely—
For as long as a chance appears,
What can’t be grasped might yet be claimed.
I’m blue on winding roads,
But ready or not, I trudge forward,
Step by step, toward the unknown end.
I’m blue, endlessly blue,
And as blue deepens, it pales to gray—
For when you’re always far away,
Blue lingers, never fading.
