Noble Face and Soothing Gaze
Yusuf achmad
I miss your smile, the pearls of wisdom from your heart,
Where have you gone, why did you leave?
Doesn’t the world still need you?
My world, your students’ world, instantly flooded,
With tears of hope, longing, and memories.
I can’t hold back the tears of longing in my eyes,
Within the walls that listen,
Teachings, words of life filled with holy energy,
A sincere smile that pierces the heart,
A compass for life and even death,
Always moving straight, pre-dawn, dawn, morning,
Then midday, evening, even tired night.
Every glance and speech always had different colors,
Your ocean of knowledge wasn’t just blue or white,
But also green like the one-legged tree,
You entrusted us to keep the environment sustainable,
One of your marks never fades with time or days.
Hundreds of books, millions of pearls of wisdom,
Not just one language, but diglossia,
You were not just multilingual, but also a true polyglot.
My hands and eyes are imprisoned by your knowledge and teachings.
