Gemerlap Konsumerisme

Yusuf Achmad

Under the flickering neon lights,
The scent of fish and sweetness blend in the hustle and bustle.
Grand corridors stretch out wide,
Beams and pillars breathe, filling the space.

Jeans-clad cows, elegantly dressed geese,
Swaggering, mimicking models in glossy magazines.
Religion and fashion, in exotic attire,
Dancing to the hypnotic rhythm of consumerism.

My cigarette smoke swirls, dancing with the wind,
Creating fragrant clouds, a distinct Arabian perfume.
My hat and jeans, harmonizing with American clothes,
Merging in a dynamic fashion symphony.

In the corridors full of night glitter,
Every step feels like a dance on a grand stage.
Strong women peddling their wares,
Shopping becomes a sacred ritual, following the ever-busy commercial rhythm.
